Depop fee calculator
An independent calculator, not Depop: nothing to sign in to and nothing to pay here. Enter a sale amount and read the fees.
Depop charges US sellers no selling fee. Depop Payments takes 3.3% + 45¢ of the buyer's full payment (item, shipping and tax), once per order or bundle. A boosted listing that sells within 28 days of a click pays 12% of the item price on top.
The nightly check re-reads 13 of the 14 sentences quoted on this page; the rest are in tables or on pages that block automated reading and were verified by a person on 2026-09-08 (1 source page read by a person only).

US-based sellers selling in USD pay no Depop selling fee. When paid through Depop Payments (Stripe), a payment-processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 is charged on the item sale price plus shipping costs plus any applicable taxes (i.e., the buyer's full payment), once per transaction (a bundle counts as one transaction), and is deducted before the proceeds reach the seller's bank account. If a listing (or the whole shop via Boost Shop) is boosted, a 12% boosting fee applies on the item sale price excluding taxes, plus the shipping cost if the seller arranged their own shipping rather than using a Depop Shipping label; it is charged only when a buyer interacted with the boosted listing and bought within 28 days, and it applies to new listings from 23 March 2026. All fees are reversed if the sale is refunded. Buyers separately pay a Marketplace fee (up to 5% of item price + up to $1, excluding taxes and shipping) that is not deducted from the seller.
Checked against Depop's own examples
The calculator reproduces every worked example the platform publishes; these are run as tests before any page is built.
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates: $50 item with $5 buyer-paid shipping, no tax, not boosted. Page says: total fees $2.27, net $52.73. "3.3% + $0.45"
Not included
- Buyer-paid Marketplace fee (up to 5% + up to $1)
- 10% selling fee for sellers outside UK/US/AUS and PayPal processing fees for those sellers
- UK and Australian payment-processing rates
- Customs duties/taxes on cross-border orders; US state sales tax collected from buyers
- Depop Shipping label prices (prepaid by buyer)
Notes
- Depop's Help Centre has a single English locale (hc/en-gb); the en-us URL returns 404. The en-gb 'Seller fees and charges' page states the US rates explicitly.
- Boost fee: the 12% UK/US rate is footnoted '^new listings from 23 March 2026' and the Boosted Listings article says the fees are 'effective from 23 March'. The rate for listings created before that date is not stated on the loaded pages (the 8% figure on the fee page applies to sellers outside the UK/US).
- Currency/international terms: zero selling fees are tied to sellers located in the US selling in USD (newsroom, 15 Jul 2024); the fee page phrases the 10% fee as applying to sellers outside UK/US/AUS selling in a currency other than GBP/USD/AUD. Listing currency defaults to phone settings and can be changed in Payment Settings for new items only; relocating sellers must contact support. No Depop-side currency-conversion fee for US sellers was found on the loaded pages.
- Calculator ambiguity: the processing-fee base includes 'any applicable taxes' (buyer's sales tax) and shipping, so an exact fee requires the buyer's tax amount; the Marketplace fee is not listed as part of the base. The boosting-fee base excludes taxes and includes shipping only when the seller does not use a Depop Shipping label.
- Newsroom (15 Jul 2024) announced the Marketplace fee 'from July 18th 2024' at up to 5% + up to $1; the Marketplace fee article gives the same figures and dates.
- Failed pages: blog.depop.com/articles/us-depop-fee-change now redirects to the blog index (article removed); the 'Depop Payments fee change (US)' help article redirects to a login page (restricted). The partner API 'Fees' doc contains no numbers and points to the help article.
