Where these numbers come from
- What are the fees? – Grailed (Help Center) — read 2026-09-10
- Does Grailed charge a payment processing fee? – Grailed (Help Center) — read 2026-09-10
Grailed charges sellers two fees. The seller fee is 9% of the sale price for sales of $120 and above, and 6% with a $1.99 minimum for sales under $120 (Grailed marks the reduced tier as applicable to sales on or after May 20, 2026). The sale price is the listing price plus any shipping charged to the buyer, unless you ship with a Grailed Label, in which case it is the listing price only. Payment processing is separate: 3.49% + $0.49 for US domestic payments and 4.99% + $0.49 for international payments when you are onboarded with Stripe; 3.49% + $0.99 and 5.49% + $0.99 in a Stripe-supported country without onboarding; and 4.99% + $0.49 outside Stripe-eligible countries.
Checked against Grailed's own examples
The calculator reproduces every worked example the platform publishes; these are run as tests before any page is built.
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates (Grailed publishes no worked example on the loaded pages): a $100 item with $10 shipping charged to the buyer, no Grailed Label, onboarded with Stripe. Sale price $110 is under $120, so 6%. Page says: commission $6.60, processing fee $4.33, total fees $10.93, net $99.07. "Under $120 6% (minimum $1.99)"
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates: a $20 sale, where 6% ($1.20) is below the $1.99 minimum. Page says: commission $1.99, processing fee $1.19, total fees $3.18, net $16.82. "6% (minimum $1.99)"
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates: a $119 sale, the top of the 6% tier. Page says: commission $7.14, processing fee $4.64, total fees $11.78, net $107.22. "Under $120 6% (minimum $1.99)"
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates: a $120 sale, the bottom of the 9% tier ('$120 and above'). Page says: commission $10.80, processing fee $4.68, total fees $15.48, net $104.52. "$120 and above 9%"
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates: a $200 international payment for a seller in a Stripe-supported country who is not onboarded. Page says: commission $18.00, processing fee $11.97, total fees $29.97, net $170.03. "International payments 5.49% + .99 USD"
- Arithmetic check derived from the published rates: a $100 item shipped with a Grailed Label and $15 shipping charged to the buyer; the seller fee is on the listing price only. Page says: commission $6.00, processing fee $4.50, total fees $10.50, net $104.50. "If you use a Grailed Label, the sale price is based on the listing price only."
Not included
- Shipping label costs, including Grailed Labels.
- Promotional commission rates, which Grailed says may apply to certain transactions under separate terms.
- Sales tax, VAT and duties collected from buyers.
Notes
- Grailed's page marks the reduced tier 'Applicable to sales on/after 5/20/26'. A sale of exactly $120 is in the 9% tier ('$120 and above').
- Grailed does not state what amount the payment processing fee is charged on. The calculator applies it to the listing price plus the shipping charged to the buyer, which is what the buyer pays.
- Grailed publishes no rounding rule; the calculator rounds each fee half-up to the cent.
- Grailed publishes no worked example; the examples here are arithmetic checks derived from the published rates.
